Maria's Records International International Festival
When the pandemic hit in Spring 2020, music festivals were cancelled until furuth noticed. Our artistic director Natalia Pardalis felt that there should be a way to continue safely so she approached different music teachers with the idea of an online festival. She had been the music mentor for different online music competitions both in Canada & Mexico so know that a similar format could work for a more traditional festival. A committee was formed and the festival was quickly organized and there were entries from all over North America, South America, and even Germany.
In 2021, she approach the team at Maria's Records about being the Platinum sponsor to which we enthusiastically agreed to. We are proud to share the sponsorship with Brentwood Presbyterian Church, Tom Lee Music, Pardalis Studio for Music and Performing Arts, and Gilcrest Music Studio. There are many opportunities for sponsorships.
When things opened up more, we made the festival hybrid offering bot online entries and in person for those in the lower mainland at Brentwood Presbyterian Church.
Our goal is to create an open music community and provide artistic opportunities to our music community both for professionals and inspiring musicians.
Canada Music Week
