Meet our Vocal Adjudicator

As a pianist, vocalist, composer, sound designer, music director/conductor and vocal coach, Marguerite Witvoet has gained a reputation across Canada as a creative and versatile musician.  Actively involved in the creation of contemporary opera and musical theatre, Marguerite also performs and conducts, composes and arranges music for theatre and film.

With a background in bel canto, Roy Hart and Estill voice, Marguerite’s vocal approach encompasses an understanding of the physiology of vocal production as well as somatic embodiment and a depth of musical experience.

After over a decade teaching at Capilano University, Douglas College and Langara College (Studio 58), Marguerite is now focused on her private studio in East Vancouver. Working with a combination of intuition, keen observation and compassion, she inspires students to develop their unique voices as artists and creators.
